Volunteers Day

Village Hall -
Elham Village Hall Association
You are invited to the
Volunteers Day at the Village Hall to give the
hall and garden a ‘spring spruce up’.
Many different jobs need to be done in order that your
village hall stays the attractive facility that it is. Please
join us for all or part of the day. Coffee, cake and lunch
is provided. Whatever your skills, your contribution of
time will be most welcome. Just turn up at the hall…
dress strictly ‘working gear’.

Walk

Smeeth Playing Fields TN25 6RX -
Elham Elham Valley Walkers
An easy walk of approximately 4.3 miles in the countryside surrounding the villages of Brabourne Lees and Smeeth, nestled at the foot of The Downs. The walk incorporates fields, small woodland, country lanes and passes through an old quarry site, an area protected for ground breeding birds. There are a couple of high, but sturdy stiles, regrettably with no dog gates. Hopefully, bluebells will be out and it will not be muddy, although we pass through the fields of Bog Farm! Come and support one of our new walk leaders Nikki Allen.

Our traders are already signing up for stalls to make sure they get a place in Elham Square or church, a really positive start!
So 9 June will be a day of celebrations: a bustling market in the square and church, dancing from the Pennyroyal Clog Dancers, church bells ringing, scarecrows to admire in the village, plus gardens to view, as the weekend is also Elham Open Gardens!
Make sure to put the date in your diaries.
